What do you do when you find the perfect gift for your daughter online, such as this delightful little
Polly Pocket Triple Decker Bus , and you order it because you know she'll love it, and then you happen to be walking through the toy store and she happens to pick it up while she's looking for toys she likes, sees it, and then tosses it quickly back onto the shelf and says, "YUCK!" ???

How strange. Return it?
You should spank her. And then laugh at her and tell her she's gettin it anyway. But do it with love.
How sad that it wasn't what she really wanted. Yet, it's a good thing that you found this out before Christmas Day when both of you would be disappointed.
I say donate it to a charity for kids who would be glad to receive it and then get your daughter something else that is more to her heart's desire. Then, you will be giving this "mistake" a happy ending. You could even take her with you to donate it, letting her know that some little girl out there is going to have a better Christmas because you shared.
Or you can just return it. Do you have to pay shipping to return the thing? I don't like to shop online for that reason.
This is so funny! Gosh, you never know where their likes are going to just up and change as they grow up! :) I like the idea of donating it to one Brown Santa, Blue Santa, etc.
Thanks folks. I think I'll take it to the Chuy's parade in Austin and have her donate it there. I can't return it because I'm sure I'd have to pay the shipping to send it back, and I'm way too cheap for that. She doesn't like it because the clothes for the Polly Pocket are magnetic, and she likes the rubbery ones better. I did my due diligence for that one but still got burned. I actually asked her before I bought anything if she liked Polly Pockets with magnetic or rubbery clothes. She said both, but I (casually) brought it into conversation with her last night and she said she said both because she knows that the magnetic clothes come with the Polly Pocket Airplane, which she loves and didn't want to exclude from the list. GAAAAA! Why didn't she say just rubbery clothes, but I really want the airplane. BE SPECIFIC KID!
